How it all started
Founded in 1819, we are currently an independent Baptist Church which means we are free to select our leaders and are not bound by any denominational rules and the Bible is the sole authority over our faith and practice.

How to be Baptized at First Baptist Church?
Baptism is an important public confession of repentance from sin and faith and trust in what the Lord Jesus has done. Baptism is not a part of salvation but rather an outward demonstration of and inward transformation.
If you desire to be baptized, please come forward during the invitation to make your desire known. You may also reach out by e-mail of call the office to schedule a meeting with the Pastor.

Be Part of our family!
If you would like to become a member of First Baptist, here are some steps to take.
Statement of Faith: If you have been saved and baptized by immersion after being saved but for some reason you do not hold active membership in a church, please meet with the Pastor to become a member through a Statement of Faith.
- Accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior! Please reach out to us for help in this most important decision.
- Follow the Lord in Believer’s Baptism through immersion in water before the church. Baptism is an important act of obedience and identification with Christ. It is done after we are Saved. Baptism comes from Salvation not for Salvation. If you are Baptized at First Baptist Church, you will automatically become a member of our church.
